Xiaomi’s dedication to the development of the mobile photography experience hits new levels as the company’s Camera Department gives a glimpse of the excitement on the horizon. Xiaomi’s Deputy General Manager of the Camera Department, Miao Lei, spoke about a number of user concerns and showed off new features that will revolutionize the way Xiaomi photographs and edits pictures. The smartphones giant continues breaking new ground within the space of camera technology, with new limits broken by upgraded AI features and Leica partnership features.
New Watermark Styles on the Way
The most eagerly awaited of these updates includes watermark expansion for Xiaomi users. The company is accelerating work on bringing more watermark styles along with cloud control features. These features are likely to hit the market during the latter half of this year, providing more artistic choices for photographers to make their pictures unique.
Those who like having dynamic photos with Leica watermarks have something good to look forward to as well. Xiaomi will work on fixing compatibility issues for social platforms such as WeChat Moments. The functionality of publishing dynamic photos with Leica or film watermarks will progressively be supported on more devices by mid-2023.
Improved Dynamic Photo Features
Dynamic images have gained much popularity among Xiaomi’s user community, though certain present limitations have been realized. The company is actively pursuing a number of enhancements:
- Shortening capture time to cut unnecessary hand-raising and lowering shots
- Creating editing features that retain dynamic effects
- Enhancing the preset package management with better user interface
These features should be released during the latter part of the year and make dynamic photography more accessible and adaptable.
Overcoming Technical Challenges
Xiaomi isn’t merely invested in new features-they’re working on fixing existing problems as well. Engineers are addressing the following:
- Sudden camera access conflicts while audio playback
- “Magic Eliminator Pro” green streak artifacts
- Lag while shooting – Color cast issues
- Portrait effects enhancements
Xiaomi’s Roadmap for Cameras
The camera updates don’t stop at software enhancements. The Xiaomi 15 and Xşioami 14 series have already gone into beta testing for camera updates, and the Mi MIX Fold 4, Mi MIX Flip, and Mi K70 Ultra will be getting the upgrade shortly after release.
Leica co-branded models will have the traditional red color scheme by default and the basic functionality like focal length swapping and EV value adjustment will have simultaneous optimisation.
These innovations affirm Xiaomi’s commitment towards offering users advanced camera features, reaffirming the brand’s status as a pioneer of phone camera technology.
